Check out Craft+Theory Coordinator Kelsey showing an easy way to create soft, beachy waves without a curling iron. This DIY style is great for second day hair, a night out with family or friends, or just because you're in the mood to feel great!
Winter brings on us the dry, harsh weather and our hair and scalp no doubt feel the affects. Some ways to combat these issues are to add additional moisture to the hair shaft while limiting shampooing. Thats why, in March, we have hand selected Oribe's Supershine Moisturizing Cream and Rene Furterer's Naturia Dry Shampoo.
Oribe's Supershine is a uber luxury version of the leave-in conditioning cream. This lux cream will satisfy the thirstiest of hair, while fighting frizz, and taking those locks back to the good 'ol days of supernatural softness.
No water needed here. Rene's Naturia Dry Shampoo cleans hair, refreshes, and restores volume in between shampooing. It absorbs excess oils and neutralizes environmental odors leaving behind a light scent and a ton of bounce. Perfect for the gym bag, flights , or your car's cup holder (one of our favorite spots).
Our girl Nicole.C. gives us the inside scoop on what happened at NYFW while preparing for the Zimmerman show.
Q: What products did you use?
A: "The products we used were, volumea spray, volumea mousse, and vegetal spray."
Q: How did you use these products to create the look for the show?
A: "We misted the hair with Volumea leave-in spray, then heavily packed the mousse at the root for direction and hold; using the blowdryer to set into hair. Then, we directed the hair into a low pony, using three different sections, spraying with vegetal spray in each section. This created a shiny, sleek, put together style."
Q: Overall, how was your first experience at NYFW? A: "I had such a wonderful experience! Tons and tons of teamwork, the stylists coming together to get work done on time for the show."
Love and light, Nicole.C
Have you been searching for that just right hair to ring in the New Year, our favorite looks for a night filled with laughter, cheer, and champagne are sure to stop any clock.
Our first look is of Classicism, with a hint of a contemporary woman. We achieve this look with our go to Imperial Blow Out from Oribe, and to create that not so soft and tame curl we whip out our Dry Texture Spray from Oribe. For that soft-pinky smokey eye, Becca Cosmetics rules it with their Rouge Eye Pallette.
The Mad-(wo)Man messy bun, ahh yes what a seductive second look. We create this sophisticated, yet fun, style with Rene Furterer's Volumea Foam to start with plump, luscious locks. Then finish off with Rene's Vegatal Finishing Spray for long lasting hold. Who doesn't love a bit of shimmer on NYE, we add this by applying Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in Topaz, then add a bit of Becca Beach Tint in Fig to top off this look.
A nod to the good ole' days, our third favorite is the Modern Retro. We create polished curls with Oribe's Creme for Style, then add more shine with Oribe's Shine Light Reflecting Spray to amp up the NYE sparkle. This "barely there" makeup is all about skin and creating a warm glow with Becca's Body Mouse in Palm Beach, and spreading some love on your cheeks with Shimmering Skin Perfector in Opal by Beeca.
Happy New Year from the Craft + Theory crew!
Jessica Thorne, Stylist at Craft+Theory is loving Imperial Blowout by Oribe and Rene Furterer's Vegetal Texture Spray and wants to share why!
Imperial Blowout by Oribe offers a lightweight, body building, shine enhanced finish. It's the one product for the ultimate blowout! "It gives me the heat protection and hair repair in one product that I need."-Jessica. To use: Jess suggests a nickel sized amount from mid shaft to ends on well towel dried hair.
Rene Furterer's Texture Spray "is like heaven." because "I can control how much texture I want by adding less or more to my hair. It even helps to absorb some oils as well!" A nice added bonus.
